Sunwing's "worry free vacation security plan" perfect for summer travellers
Summer’s on the horizon and as thousands of Canadians plan their summer holidays, the Sunwing Vacation group would like to remind them that travel insurance is an important part of their vacation planning.
“A lot of Canadians aren’t aware that you need protection – even for trips within Canada,” says Daryl McWilliams, Sunwing’s vice-president of sales and marketing. “Provincial plans vary, so it’s important that you’re covered for every possibility.”
Sunwing’s vacation security plan is particularly attractive as it has no age limitations – a rarity these days, says McWilliams – and allows Sunwing clients to cancel right up to three hours prior to departure. Depending on how close to departure the cancellation is received, customers will receive 100 per cent of their vacation investment back in a combination of cash and vouchers for future travel.
Sunwing’s program also provides medical, baggage and trip delay components. Sunwing travellers have the option of purchasing the cancellation waiver only for $49 per person; or the comprehensive plan with all components for as little as $129 per person for holidays up to nine days - $69 if you book your Sunwing trip 60 days in advance.
