Sunwing again ranked as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies by Profit Magazine
Stephen Hunter, COO of the Sunwing Travel Group, is proud to announce that the company has again been rated one of the fastest-growing companies in the country in the annual survey conducted by Profit Magazine. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Sunwing has been featured by the respected financial magazine.
The list, which ranks 200 companies from tech sector to construction, shows Sunwing’s growth of over 800 per cent over the past five years, with revenue expanding from $57 million in 2003 to over $500 million in 2008.
According to Profit, the ranking demonstrates “how entrepreneurs can combine big vision with tight focus to achieve rapid expansion in any industry and any economy”.
“We’re all very proud and pleased to have again made the prestigious Profit list,” says Stephen Hunter. “As always, it’s a team effort by everyone in the Sunwing family that shows our company-wide commitment to operational efficiency and continued margin growth.” Sunwing has grown from a handful of employees at inception to over 1,000 personnel today and over 14 Boeing 737-800s.
